Ok, I know this is shallow or whatever, but I really don’t care. I dislike Rachel Ray…a lot. I find her annoying and disingenuous. I hate all her little “Yum-o’s” and whatnots that are supposed to make her so charming and easy to relate to. Now I have an even better reason to dislike her.
National Enquirer (January 5, 2008) Reports:
To promote her Nutrish line of dog food, the super chef recently published a recipe that’s intended for human consumption in a popular dog lover’s magazine. The recipe, “Isaboo’s Butternut Squash Mac and Cheddar” was inspired by her pit bull Isaboo’s love of squash. But readers were confused and believed the dish, that included an ingredient that could kill dogs, was mean for their dogs.
Nowhere in the dog magazine did it state that the recipe was intended for humans, not dogs. And the text accompanying the recipe contained a disclaimer warning owners to check with their dogs’ veterinarians, again leading many to believe the recipe was for dogs…
Dr. Dana Harman, D.V.M., of Boca Raton, Fla, explains that onions can cause “potentially fatal hemolytic anemia” in dogs.
Modern Dog has since added a mild disclaimer to their website telling people that the recipe is intended for people, though the people at Rachel Ray’s website have left the recipe unchanged. Even listing it under a Pet Friendly header and it starts with a picture of Rachel and her dog Boo eating a very similar looking meal (see above).
I hope that Rachel Ray hasn’t used her completely evil and annoying powers to kill your (or your friends) dogs.
Oh my gosh, the is the best thing EVER!!!!
Source: Boing Boing,
So a set of the rare Pallas’ Cats were born in July in Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown, South Dakota. I guess they are supposed to be really hard to breed because they are prone to infection due to being from an area that doesn’t expose them to it much. One cool thing about them, besides the fact that they are so effin cute, is that they have rounded pupils unlike most cats. They are only the size of a housecat! If I didn’t already have two cats I would be flying out to the Asian steppes as we speak to go catch one.
Mostly for his child-like ability to be amazed at the smallest things, “I ain’t never seen a chrome garbage can.” The other reason is that he thinks about what the ladies want Cherry Coke, Hawaiian Punch and Green Tea for those real earthy Erica Badu chicks. The other is his spot on girl voice. The last is his witty use of the term, “Vagina Panties.”
This video is NSFW.
Oh yeah, by the by Merry effin Christmas!
Santa’s comin’ to get cha!
The Shat is pretty much the greatest actor who has ever lived. Eat it Brando.
As many of you don’t know. I love ducks. My Dad used to own a baby duck when he was little and walk it around the neighborhood on a leash. I am so envious. I would never be about it enough to take care of one but I have always secretly wished one would get left on a basket on my front porch. If they created a non-shitting or eating duck breed I would definitely get one of those. I think that some scientists should get on that.
So in that spirit here is… A Duck Falling Asleep! Courtesy of Cute Things Falling Asleep, which you bitches should all check out.
This is a pretty effin rad fan trailer. Finely photoshopped versions of the Thundercats make this probably better than anything Hollywood would come out with anyway.
The Cast is –
Brad Pitt from Troy as Lion-O
Vin Diesel from the Riddick movies as Panthro
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine as Tygra
Gigi Edgley from Farscape as Cheetara
The Spy Kids as WilyKit and WilyKat
And the CG Garfield as Snarf
The only thing that throws it off for me is the mix of the cartoon voices with the actual ones. While the actual clips they found fit the motif I think it would have been good for them just to pick one voice per character. Still — Skillfully done!
I Wish I were the Moon is a experimental game designed by Daniel Benmergui. The game is inspired from The Distance of the Moon by Italo Calvino, and “it’s about a weird love triangle.” The game is short and sweet and worth the time if you are bored (or even if you are not). The pixelated graphics are charming and so are the multiple endings. Try to get them all, it shouldn’t take too long. I won’t give you any instructions, it is more fun to figure it out yourself.
